Software Development Budget Guarantee
The Custom Software Budget Guarantee
66% of software projects suffer cost overruns. 33% miss their deadlines.¹ Most agencies treat this as industry standard. I treat it as a business failure. I do not sell developer headcount. I sell a guaranteed number — locked before my team writes a single line of code.

The Framework
Scoped, Locked, Guaranteed.
How Do I Guarantee Your Budget?
I provide a written, fixed-price contract that guarantees your project budget will not increase. I can do this because I refuse to guess at the scope.
Before my engineering team writes a single line of production code, I invest in a meticulous Business Requirements Document (BRD) and a fully functional clickable prototype. By building an interactive version of the final product first, we eliminate logic discrepancies and map every edge case while changes are still free.

Why I don't use Agile by default?
I do not force your business into a trendy framework just because it is convenient for my developers. I use whatever methodology delivers the most predictable financial outcome.
If the project allows, I use the Waterfall approach because it locks down the scope and budget entirely upfront. If a product is highly experimental and it is impossible to foresee the entire scope, I adapt using a strict hybrid model. My sole objective is to make your software build mathematically predictable.

What does the Guarantee Require from You?
A successful software deployment requires dedicated engagement from your side of the table. To maintain this budget guarantee, you and your subject matter experts must expect to spend 4 to 5 hours per week reviewing prototypes and providing actionable feedback. To maintain our development momentum, both parties agree to a one-business-day turnaround on critical questions.
I keep this communication lean and centralized, so your time is never wasted on redundant updates.

Who Pays if the Scope Changes?
At Neologic Custom Software, accountability sits with me. I’m Dmitriy Fridlyand, and I personally own the architecture. If I misjudge the technical complexity of the agreed-upon blueprint, I pay for the mistake out of my own margin. There are no weasel clauses or hidden fees.
However, business realities shift. If you decide to add a completely new feature mid-build, I issue a written Change Order with a firm price. You decide if the new feature makes financial sense before we write the code. Zero silent upcharges.
